Shift Staffing Policy:

  1. Every volunteer or reserve firefighter who resides outside of the District boundaries shall work either two 12-hour shifts or one 24-hour shift per month.
  2. Any personnel unable to meet the shift staffing requirement will be placed on probation for three months. Continued violations will result in termination.
  3. If you do not voluntarily schedule yourself prior to the 15th day of the preceding month, your shifts will be assigned for that month.
  4. Shift trades will be accepted as long as the required shifts are worked each month.
  5. If you are unable to fulfill your scheduled shift due to illness or other reasons, you will be required to provide two hours notice and find your replacement.
