2017 Pine Needle Pickup Program

In absence of our usual dumpster program the Groom Creek Fire District will be offering a needle removal service from  to April 20th – June 24th,2017. In order to participate, community members are asked to bag the needles they like would like to have removed and place them curbside, and members of the Groom Creek Fire District will pick up the bags on Saturdays during this program’s operating period.. The fee for this service is $1.00 per “50 gallon” trash bag.

Only Bagged Pine Needles will be picked up. No branches, logs, tree stumps, or household garbage will be considered for removal.

Once the needles are bagged, email admin@groomcreek.org with the subject line “Needle Removal”. The body of the email should include, your name, address of pick up, contact information and how many bags you would like removed. The District will be scheduling pickups during the week on a first come first served basis.

BAGS WILL NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Please remit payment before or at the time of pickup. Cash or checks can be excepted at time of pickup or Station 41. Make checks payable to the Groom Creek Fire District. Submit any questions to the email listed or call the station at 928-778-6519.

Thanks for your continued interest in keeping Groom Creek a Firewise community!
